What does a wedding cost in Switzerland with Switzerland Wedding Company?
Planning a destination Switzerland takes a variety of services, to create your wedding.
We will create a FOUNDATION to match your vision which will inlcude our in house team: Planning your wedding, professional photography & video if wished, our Symbolic ceremony officiant, and the symbolic ceremony location within the Bernese Oberland; Jungfrau region of Switzerland and cover your reception planning if wished. Some couples seek only a symbolic ceremony, photography session and aperitif, while others seek a full wedding to include a reception celebration.
- Designing, planning and executing the wedding day: We know all the locations around the area we live and have worked with our partner vendors and marquees for decades. Listening to your vision, we match your criteria, style and budget. Our planning costs are individually calculated using our years of experience. From researching your location for the ceremony and reception to organizing the mulitude of services, creating a time flow of your day, providing a cost and payment summary, weddings take anywhere from 15 to 40 hours planning and 6 to 17 hours on the day hosting.
Like building a house, there are so many variations to size, complexity, style and location. We do not have one set planning price, nor do we work on an hourly basis. Instead from our experience of 20 years, we review your vision, and have a personal phone call together and thereafter we make an accurate estimate for your foundation. All prices are in Swiss Franc: WEDDING Planning price starts at CHF 1500.00 ranging to CHF 4800.00. Whether you picture a rustic lower cost affair or a luxury gala. Our common theme is we live where we know. The Jungfrau region: Bernese Oberland, Switzerland.
Photography: we only plan weddings where we provide the photography services. We believe your photographer should already know “You”. We are a small family team, and wear many hats. We all know each other, how we work and are familiar with the entire plan of your event. Either we have one main photographer and a second who also is your hostess or we organize two photographers and a hostess. Another combination, is a photography and videography team who is also sharing the responsibility of hosting your wedding.
Some weddings cover only the symbolic ceremony and a photo session, while other weddings require 2 full photographers up to 17 hours. Also we recommend a pre or post wedding photography session so we can have time with just the Bride & Groom privately and escort you to other locations than your wedding marquee. Partial day 6 Pre & Post photography sessions starts at CHF 1100.00, whereas, full weddings start at CHF 3500 Photography
Videography: If you know you wish video coverage, we will put this into your foundation as Maciej and Olga create amazing artwork for you. Pricing starts at CHF 1900.00 partial day & CHF 3600.00 full day. We will make a custom price to match the day.
The Ceremony: All weddings have some type of ceremony whether it be a civil or symbolic ceremony. If you wish only a ceremony planner, this is possible. We offer outside in the mountains or lakeside locations as well as 3 authentic castles. We also work with a variety of hotels which can host your ceremony on site as well as your evening reception. Your ceremony officiant: We have two in house officiants who speak multiple languages and will assist with creating your personal content to share on your wedding with your family and friends. If you happen to have your own officiant, let us know from the start of our planning process.
Pricing will include: location rental, your symbolic officiant, and one staff for maintenence and hardware/handling to set chairs or benches and a podium. Starting at CHF 1800.00 Additions to your ceremony will be entertainment/music, decoration, the rental benches or chairs and if you have on site aperitif. We also will require an inside bad weather back up location for your ceremony. If you have your own officiant, this is fine, we will adjust pricing accordingly.
The Reception: Todays weddings must not have an evening reception. As our weddings are ” destination weddings” many couples choose to have their wedding within a shorter duration of time. You may request a luncheon around your ceremony so the following days you and your guests are enegetic to explore the Swiss Alps. For evening receptions, we offer rustic alp huts to 5 star luxury hotel spaces.
Reception thoughts to consider: rental space if applicable, food and beverages, decoration, entertainment, size of space necessary if you wish to have dancing.
FOUNDATIONS FOR YOUR HALF DAY WEDDING with just ceremony: Start price: CHF 4400.00: planning & hosting, photography & ceremony officiant & symbolic ceremony location
FOUNDATIONS FOR YOUR FULL DAY WEDDING start price CHF 6800.00: complete wedding planning for your symbolic ceremony & reception, photographer & hostess as second photographer and ceremony officiant,
Services to consider: Hair & Make up for the Bride and her lady friends, flower decoration and bouquets, transportation throughout your wedding: private ship, classic coaches, luxury van, cable car or train, or even helicopter flights. Entertainment: during the ceremony, aperitif and dinner: live band, traditional swiss entertainment, Dj, string trio, classical guitarist, recorded music, singer, pianist. We have an array of partners. Fine food and beverages: All weddings will have the style dining you wish to offer from an outside barbeque to epicurean luxury meals.

Firstly, what IS the difference at Switzerland Wedding Company between an elopement and a wedding?
A wedding has more guests and generally more complexity. The category, Elopement, is not in stone defined. With just a Bride & Groom ( or same sex couple ) this is an elopement. Can we add a few guests and still call this an elopement ? YES. When discussing your vision together, we will define from the start if this is going to be under ” wedding or elopement”. An elopement for us does not take as much staff, nor time to coordinate. The planning pricing is lower as well as our tasks. An Elopement can have a formal ceremony location or you can hire one of our photographers to explore locations you wish to have as your backdrop and share your own vows. We have symbolic in house officiants for a more formal setting. Elopements often do not have an evening planned or if so it is not a ” reception” more of a dinner and quite evening. Elopements can run up to CHF 25,000.00 so it is not about price. Elopements can take place in the nature far away from anyone else. We can hike to your ceremony location or travel via private boat, horse & carriage, train, cable car, helicopter or special vehicle. You can even include a tandem paragliding or hangliding flight.
Starting pricing would include: Location for your ceremony, photographer, planning time, and the services necessary to execute your event. From CHF 2900.00.
What does a surprise proposal cost ?
Proposals are such a wonderful way to start your dedicated journey together as a couple. We love to assist with your proposal whether it is a complete surprise or known celebration of ” saying YES” to the next step of your relationship. They can be as simple as setting up a location together and having a photographer capture the moment, or add a videographer to create a story. Add flowers, a pic nic or after the proposal surprise your partner with an evening dinner or activity. We include correspondence collaboration with you via phone calls, then take the time to set up where, when and how together. On the day, we can be your tour guide or lead you to meet at the location on your own.
