Enjoy the symbolic ceremony in the church, then the aperitif on the garden between the castle and church. It is situation by the Lake of Thun, accessible via ship, train or private transportation. You can see below information for self booking the venue. Your wedding is not organized because you rented a place. There is much more to your wedding to prepare a flowing day plan. To add services such as hair & make up, transport your guests, lead them from one theme to the next, arrange dinner and entertainment. For the ceremony, this can be civil or symbolic. Our in house Officiant and partner musicians bring your wedding to life. Our in house photographer and videography services capture your day and preserving your memories.

The castle of Spiez is a cultural heritage of national importance. It is picturesquely situated above Lake Thun, amidst the Spiezer vineyards. In the exhibition of Spiez Castle the history of the place can be experienced interactively. In the historic rooms, you can experience the change of the castle of Spiez from a medieval castle to a patrician residence of the noble families Strättligen, Bubenberg and Erlach up close.

CHF 790 for one hour, including an assistant, castle organ (without organist), waiting room, church decorations, preparation and clean-up work, wedding bell rung by hand, information and on-site inspection.

Information

Season: May – October (the church is very cold in the winter months and cannot be heated) / Winter Weddings in the New Castle
Fridays & Saturdays: a maximum of 2 weddings are possible (time slot 1 & time slot 2)
The Castle Church can be booked on all days of the week
Saturday weddings: bookings of the church with aperitif possible at any time, bookings of the church without aperitif possible from 7 months before the wedding date
Church decorations in green / white (boxwood & bouquets), deluxe versions can also be booked
Max. 140 guests (ideally 120 or fewer guests)
Electricity available / technical equipment must be brought along
The church does not belong to a parish; bring your own pastor or wedding celebrant
Same-sex marriages possible
Ceremonies can also be held in the Park (max. 60 guests) (with rainy weather in the Castle Church)
Note: no releasing of balloons (due to the trees and roofs)
