A Message From Our Founder – Cindy

A Life Shaped by Photography & the Swiss Alps

My passion for photography began at 13, developing black-and-white photos in a home darkroom. That love for storytelling has never stopped. And somehow, I was lucky enough to turn it into a life and career that still amazes me every day.

Living in the Bernese Oberland as an American has allowed me to meet couples from all over the world. What better timing than to help them plan their Switzerland elopement or destination wedding, and capture their memories surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, meadows, and crystal-blue lakes.

Even on my daily walks, I find myself saying:
“This would be the perfect location for a bride and groom.”
The inspiration never ends.

Growing Up With a Camera & a Passion for People

From a very young age, Lukas grew up assisting at weddings, taking photos, meeting couples from every continent, and absorbing the magic of love stories in the mountains.

Today, he carries forward our family’s creative legacy with a natural ability to connect, guide, and inspire. Whether it’s a luxury celebration at a grand Swiss resort or an intimate mountain-top elopement after a short hike, Lukas helps couples feel at home in the Bernese Oberland.

Fluent in German, Swiss German, English, and French, Pascal is also our deeply respected symbolic marriage officiant, known for creating heartfelt, meaningful, and elegant ceremonies for couples from around the world.

Cindy, Lukas & Pascal: Our sister company Alpin photo

Cindy: USA. Cindy arrived in Switzerland as a traveling tourist 30 years ago as a young ambitious photographer who ran out of money in Interlaken. She started working with the adventure companies photographing Bungy Jumping, River rafting and Canyoning. Before long, she met Pascal and together they continued adventure sport photography and founded Alpin Photo. Cindy loves nature. Gardening, working with horses, skiing, hiking, biking and exploring energy work, painting and spending time with her children and granddaughter.

Cindy will plan, photograph, host and officiate your ceremony

Pascal: He has refurbished our home in Wilderswil with his array of talented skills with electric, plumbing, carpenter, painter. Multitalented, he also is a flyfishing guide. If you wish to go with him on a surrounding day from your event, please look up Upstream fly fishing. He loves hiking and hunting with our dog, gardening, hiking, snowboard & skiing, playing digeridoo and being with our family.

Pascal is head of finance and administration. He is also your photographer and symbolic ceremony officiant and host.

You can also stay at our holiday house, located in Wilderswil, next to Interlaken

Lukas: He was born into this business. Photography comes very natural to him. Being raised in Switzerland, he speaks fluent English and German. His specialty is honest approach in sales. He is the link between our partner services and the client. Lukas will plan, photograph and host your event. When not working, you can find him barefoot hiking and submersed in nature.

Lukas is your Elopement, Proposal and Wedding planner. Lukas will photograph and oversees your event.

Maciej & Olga: Our sister company Switzerland Wedding Films

Our mission is to create a wedding film that takes you back to those magical moments, making you feel like you are right there again. It is not just about beautiful visuals or cinematic shots, it is about telling your unique love story through the lens of our camera, capturing every special detail and emotion in a way that feels true to you. To us, videography is more than just filming. It is storytelling. All about the people behind the lens, their laughter, happy tears, and the raw, unspoken moments that define love. We capture emotions you feel but can’t always put into words.

Your Symbolic Ceremony Officiant

At Switzerland Wedding Company, we are proud to offer our in-house symbolic ceremony officiant service for elopements and destination weddings across Switzerland. Your dedicated wedding officiant will lead a personalized and meaningful ceremony created uniquely for the two of you.

Before your wedding day, we work closely with you to craft a custom ceremony script, including personal vows, poems, readings, or any special details you wish to include. Our main experienced officiant—Pascal also Cindy, Danu and Christopher.

Whether you choose to exchange personal vows or prefer a traditional format, we ensure your ceremony reflects your style and relationship.

To enhance the atmosphere, we arrange the music accompaniment of your choice, including:

• Recorded ceremony music

• Acoustic guitar

• String trio or quartet

• Solo singer or vocal performer

If you prefer to bring your own master of ceremonies, we are happy to welcome them.

Our goal is to create a beautiful, heartfelt moment you will treasure for years to come.

Wedding & Elopement Planning, Hosting

Even if you wish ” just photography services”, we will plan your day, create you time line, assist to choose the best locations, arrange transportation, flower bouquet and hair and make-up. We will ask if you wish us to make a dinner reservation or plan a private dinner at a castle or 5 star restaurant.

For Surprise Marriage proposals

Look here for more information about Proposals in the Bernese Oberland. We plan your proposal with you to match your vision no matter how simple or luxurious your vision. Your photographer will be the one who planned your day so we already know you and you feel comfortable with us, ready for the big day. If you wish Video and photography, this will be two staff. If you wish set up: arch, flowers, balloons, musician, cake or aperitif, we will have an additional staff to assist.

Planning your Elopement and Wedding

We start with an orientation call to discuss your vision. Next we send a rough outline with price range estimate. Next, you pay a deposit to hire our services and we start official creation of your bespoke or foundation package, hiring all necessary services, creating a time plan, details of services and cost and payment summary.
